We finally made our way over to the new Please Touch Museum. I took Michael a few years back and he really did not get it. This time he got it and really had a blast. He was running to each section squealing with delight! Here are some pics of him discovering new things...

Welcome to Peterson Produce Mart. We will have just what you need for that vegetable craving.

This summer we have doubled the size of our garden due to the major overgrowth of some of our plants last year. We also had fun doing it as a family event so we expanded. This years crop includes sweet corn, tomatoes (including Heirloom), peas, sugar snap peas, strawberries, cucumbers (which Mike will make pickles) squash, lettuce, zucchini (they were the size of Michael last year) and melons. My mouth is already watering and they have not harvested anything yet. We also have quite the array of herbs too. We have oregano, bay leaves, mint, basil, parsley, chives and tarragon. I just hope I use them this time before they rot and fall over.

A fishing we will go!

This weekend we spent up at the lake, then retreated deep into the woods to our cabin. The goal was to fish and relax all weekend long. The weather of course did not cooperate. It rained a good part of the weekend. Rain is ok for me because all I do is sit on the couch and watch the tube. I am always relaxing here. Mikes form of relaxing is projects around the cabin, one of which was sawing down some trees and prepare the logs for splitting this winter. In the process of cutting a certain branch (his last cut of the day) he went a little overboard with the chainsaw and sawed a little more then the log, his leg! Luckily for him, he managed to tear his pants and go about 1/2 inch deep on his leg. YUK! He is ok though. Yesterday when we got home, he went to the doctor to have it looked at and get a tetnus shot. OUCH! We are thankful it was not worse. This is why I relax by sitting on the couch, it is much safer.

I always said when Lily turned 6 months I wanted to get her ears pierced. That day came on Friday. We were lucky that cousin Juliana was getting her ears pierced too so we had company!!
So happy with Mom-Mom!!
Before they started. Poor thing had no idea...
My guess is she hates me here. What are you thoughts?
