New Template

I am trying to keep current in the blogging world by switching up my template. My cousin Jen just did hers again so now I feel inadequate. Oh well, here is my new layout, I hope you like it. I am still trying to work out a "few" kinks. So please bear with me through this. Also, we will be heading on vacation this weekend so posts will be even more scarce for a month or so. Have a great summer and come back soon!

Dear Mother Nature, We live in Philly not Seattle!

So this is what our beach weekends have been like. We run through puddles instead of going to the actual beach. What is up with the weather. We all have cabin fever!

Another Feeding by Michael

We will have to work on his aim. He is getting better. I just cannot hire him full-time just yet!

When you have 28 pounds of Strawberries

You make strawberry banana ice cream. Let me just tell you how yummy it was. In fact, I think I'll go have a bowl. mmmmmmm

Michael lining his cars up in the kitchen while awaiting the yummy treat.

The final product. I wish they had taste o computer.

Yummo!

Strawberry Fields Forever

As part of a birthday tradition we have now done for the past two years for Michael's birthday is to go strawberry picking.  This year we were able to go on Tuesday, Mikes day off. We left Lily with Mimi and had at the strawberries uninterrupted.  We picked approximately 28 pounds of them this year. It was insane but its such a fun thing to do that we just keep going.  Nothing tastes better then a freshly picked strawberry. We should have weighed Jr. in before we began because he was eating them as fast as we could pick em.

I think in this picture he is checking to see if anyone will notice if he eats yet another one.

I am guessing here he realized he got away with it.

All 28 pounds.

Mike is starting the canning process. We ended up with 45 jars of jam. Thank goodness Michael eats peanut butter and jelly everyday.

** Canning update, we discovered today that jam is not setting so now we need to redo the jam and add more pectin. YUK!

Michael Turns "3"

We celebrated Michael's birthday at home with family. Michael enjoyed his visitors and I enjoyed cooking for a small crowd. I believe it all worked out well for everyone!

This cake was AMAZING. It was triple chocolate cookie dough. You cannot imagine the treat this was.

Its pretty obvious Michael enjoyed it!

Maybe Lily enjoyed it a little to. We cannot leave her out.
